With 23 years of experience providing exceptional customer service, Ana is a former salon owner, Certified Cosmetology Instructor and Educator for two major professional hair lines. Ana is passionate about learning new techniques, new trends and the latest technology.
Ana’ s motto is “ Hair with integrity” she strives to treat you with integrity by having open and honest communication and by taking the steps necessary to maintain the integrity of your hair. Ana is also proud to use hair color that contains no ammonia and other harsh ingredients.
Ana’s aim is to have every client leave the salon happy, confident and feeling radiant.
Maria Espinoza Kim
Maria Kim Espinoza has been a stylist at Tavera Hair Studio since October 2017.
Maria comes from an artistic background and is the third hairstylist in her family. As an accomplished makeup and hair artist; she has worked with celebrity stylists, models, runways, music videos, movies, and theater.
Maria joined Tavera Hair Studio after meeting and falling in love with Ana’s professionalism and congeniality. After working under Ana, who is a Master Hair Cutter and Colorist, Maria became a full time stylist and now specializes in unique highlighting techniques, such as babylights, Balayages, and Blonding. She is also very knowledgeable with diverse hair textures (curly hair and coarse straight hair) and men’s designer haircuts.
Maria strives to make lasting relationships with every person who sits in her chair and will work with you and advise you on the best options for your hair.
Joey Alvarez
A licensed Cosmetologist since 2018, Joey delights in expressing his artistic talents through his work. He has perfected his skills by studying with the best color and cut teachers in San Diego. Joey is also an outstanding makeup artist and makes clients camera ready for special occasions.
